Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a vertical white rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border an orange tiger head detailed black and white. Attached above the rectangle a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border inscribed "BELAIRE" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below the rectangle a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border, inscribed "BENGALS" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue, orange and white are the school colors. The Bengal Tiger is the school mascot. The blue also alludes to the Mississippi River, indicating the school's home area.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 14 September 1988.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, blazoned as follows: Argent, two flaunches wavy Azure; overall a tiger rampant Tenn garnished of the first. Attached below the shield a scroll of the second inscribed "BELAIRE" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Orange, blue and white are the school colors; and the Bengal Tiger is the school mascot. The flaunches represent the Mississippi River, suggesting the school's home area.
