Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A gold rectangular embroidered insignia with gold arced scrolls attached above and below, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border, the overall dimensions 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width, on which is centered a yellow Torch of Knowledge enflamed surmounted by a green alligator. On the scroll attached above, the inscription "CAPTAIN SHREVE" and on the scroll attached below, the inscription "HIGH SCHOOL" all in green letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 21 April 1976.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device with a gold arced scroll attached below the shield, 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, on the shield below a structural representation in green in chief, a green alligator. On the arced scroll, the inscription "CAPTAIN SHREVE" in green letters.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 21 April 1976.
