Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield-shaped embroidered device edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border blazoned as follows: Per bend Gules and Azure, a bend in arc bearing three mullets (Silver Gray) above a fleur-de-lis in base all Argent. Attached above the shield a Red scroll inscribed "PATRIOTS" in Blue letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school's colors. The three stars represent the rank of LTG Robert E. Lee. The fleur-de-lis symbolizes the heritage of Louisiana. The school mascot is the Patriot.

Description

On a silver metal and blue epoxied disc shaped device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width, consisting of a stylized blue head of a patriot, cropped at shoulders and throughout, facing left in a 3/4 inch (1.91 cm) quarter position, face details silver, to the right three silver stars of varying size and issuing from the bottom to top left, three curved stripes red, white and red. Attached below the shield, a dark blue scroll inscribed with LEE MAGNET PATRIOTS in silver.


Symbolism

Red, white and blue are the school colors. It signifies pride in both school and country. The Patriot is the schools mascot, a symbol of unity, excellence and loyalty. Lee Magnet High School is dedicated to the development of democratic, moral and social values in their students. Academically, the school encourages highly motivated future leaders.


Background

The shoulder loop insignia was originally approved 6 October 2006, it is hereby cancelled due to a new design on 25 October 2017.
