Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A shield shaped embroidered device arched at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Black border, consisting of a field blazoned: Per fess Argent and Azure, inscribed at base center aligned to the edge "HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL" letters of the first, overall and issuing from fess a panther lunging forward in trian aspect Sable, detailed White with dexter paw extended to base, armed upward, supporting a lamp of knowledge of the like. The overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue, black, and white are the school's colors. The lamp is taken as a symbol of the two predecessor schools and is representational of the cadets' dedication to education and knowledge to support their schools, community, and country. The panther is the school's mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 13 December 2007.

A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent, surmounting a diminished fess Azure, a lamp of knowledge issuing a cloud of steam of the first (Gray) detailed Sable encompassing a panther in trian aspect couped at fess, and overall at base a triparted scroll of the last inscribed "STRIVING TO ACHIEVE" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
