A Gold color metal device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules, an isosceles triangle throughout Azure, suppressed by a torch inflamed and wreathed with laurel leaves in base Or, between in dexter chief a winged foot and in sinister chief a mallet, all of the last. Above the shield, a head of an eagle Or. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "EAGLES" in Gold letters.
Red, white and blue are the school colors and along with the eagle symbolize patriotism. The torch and laurel leaves represent scholarly achievement and triumph. The mallet alludes to justice and a zeal for education. The winged foot is symbolic of Mercury from Greek mythology and is associated with swiftness and power in athletics. The lamp signifies knowledge and devotion to honor.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 18 July 2002.
