Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a white vertical rectangle embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, the skyline of Minneapolis in blue with green trees in front of the skyline, a blue sailboat with white sails on a blue and white lake with the letters "MTS" in white. Attached above the rectangle, a white scroll inscribed "MINNEAPOLIS" in red letters. Overall dimensions are 2 7/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width and 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Red, blue, white and green are the school's colors and represent the colors of the Minnesota State flag.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend sinister, Azure and Argent, a torch throughout flamant Gules in dexter chief a mullet of the second and in sinister three bars fesswise engrailed of the first. Attached below the device a Green scroll inscribed "LETOILE DU NORD" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Red, blue, white and green are the school's colors and represent the colors of the Minnesota State flag. The star symbolizes the North Star and pertains to justice and military honor. Minnesota is called the "North Star State". The wavy bars indicate water and imply strength and fortitude for unlimited educational opportunities. The torch pertains to knowledge and wisdom.
