Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A red disc surrounded by a purple designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border and inscribed "HATTIESBURG HIGH SCHOOL" in yellow letters overall a yellow tiger face detailed purple, eyed red with white pupils and white teeth. The overall dimensions are 3 3/16 inches (8.10 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot and reflects the cadets' battalion name.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 8 December 1997.

Description/Blazon
A Gold metal and enamel device 1 1/8 (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Purpure, a tiger's head Or garnished of the first; attached below a Purple scroll turned Gold and inscribed "TIGERS" in Gold letters.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school colors. The tiger is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 29 December 1997.
