Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in diameter a red demi-cardinal with white eye and black mask below the enarched description "CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL" in red letters.

Symbolism
Royal blue and cardinal red are the school colors. The cardinal, the school mascot, displays tenacity, courage and a sense of responsibility; qualities the cadets strive to emulate.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 27 May 1998.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of an escutcheon blazoned: Gules in base five rings gimmal, three and two below in sinister chief a garb and in dexter chief a torch enflamed Or; Crest: From a wreath Or and Gules a cardinal close Red masked Blue. The arms is supported by a scroll Blue turned Red inscribed "NOS FLOREBIMUS" in Gold letters.

Symbolism
Royal blue and cardinal red are the school colors. Red signifies valor and blue, honor. The torch stands for scholarship, the shock for stewardship and the Olympic rings for sportsmanship. The cardinal is the school mascot. The school motto "NOS FLOREBIMUS" translates to "We Will Succeed."
