Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a vertical rectangle halved vertically yellow and brown arced convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, a Bengal Tiger in stride counterchanged. Attached above the rectangle a brown arced scroll with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed "BONANZA" in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below the rectangle a brown arced scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border inscribed "BENGALS" in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Brown and gold (yellow) are the school colors. The Bengal Tiger is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 26 January 1990.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: "Brown a bend sinister Argent surmounted by a Bengal Tiger's head erased Proper." Attached below the shield, a Silver scroll inscribed "KNOWLEDGE IS STRENGTH" in Brown letters.

Symbolism
The Bengal Tiger is the school mascot. The brown shield and gold tiger reflect the school colors. The silver stripe suggests the school's location in Nevada, the "Silver State."

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 11 May 1990.
