Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a rectangular shaped embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom blazoned: "Per bend Azure and Argent, a zebra's head couped in profile of the first and second." Attached above the rectangle, a white scroll inscribed "NEW BRUNSWICK" in Blue letters, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border. Attached below the rectangle, a White scroll inscribed "ZEBRA BATTALION" in Blue letter, edged with a 1/8 inch Blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Navy blue and white are the school colors. The zebra is the school's mascot and has been since the 1920's. The zebra is reflective of the school's athletic uniforms throughout the years; which has been blue and white stripes in one form or another. The regal stance of the zebra represents the great pride and history of the school.

A Silver color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: "Azure, a zebra's head couped and in profile in Silver metal and detailed of the first". Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "ZEBRA BATTALION" in base metal letters.
