Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a brick red shield arced at top and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border a white wavy line fesswise abased surmounted by a gold brown demi-ram detailed maroon with white horns. Attached above the shield a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) maroon border and inscribed "RIVERSIDE" in brick red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/ 4 inches (8.26 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Maroon and white are the school colors. The ram is the school mascot. The waves are representative of the local natural terrain and reflect the school's name.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 22 January 1996.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/6 inches (2.70 cm) in height overall consisting of a silver shield with a silver ram's head couped affront detailed maroon above the inscription "RAMS" arcing in base in maroon letters.

Symbolism
Maroon and white (silver) are the school colors. The ram is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 22 January 1996.
