Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield shaped embroidered device blazoned as follows: Or an inescutcheon Sable surmounted by a chevron Argent, overall and rampant sinister a buffalo Sanguine pupil the same, eye of the first, horn of the third, and inscribed across the chief "JAMES I. O'NEILL" in Maroon letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Maroon border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The school colors are maroon, white, and gold. The Buffalo is the school mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel shield shaped maroon device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height charged with the Bear Mountain Bridge and the Hudson River, all gold. Attached below the shield, a maroon scroll inscribed "EXCELLENCE FRIENDSHIP" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
The school colors are maroon, white, and gold. The Bear Mountain Bridge and Hudson River symbolize the location of the school.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 26 February 2009.
