Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a green vertical oval environed by a black designation band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border and inscribed in green letters "WYANDANCH" at top and "WARRIORS" at bottom, a white torch enflamed yellow between two white arrows points to base pilewise barbed yellow. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Green and gold are taken from the school colors. The Indian Warrior is the school mascot representing the Indian Chief named Chief Wyandanch.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 16 April 1996.

Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a triangle point to base quartered green and black charged with a gold Native American head in war bonnet below a gold chevron inscribed "WARRIORS" in black letters, all within a gold and black checky border.

Symbolism
Green, gold, and white are the school colors. The Indian Warrior is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 16 April 1996.
