Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield semi of dark blue honeycombs outlined blue, a chief of yellow honeycombs inscribed "CARVER" in dark blue letters all within a blue 1/8 inch (.32 cm) border. The overall dimensions are 3 3/8 inches (8.57 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and gold (yellow) are the school's colors. The honeycomb pattern alludes to the school mascot, the yellow jacket wasp, which builds its nest in a hexagonal shape and signifies teamwork, industriousness, and discipline.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 30 January 1992. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-239)




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height overall, consisting of a blue hexagon, point up, on which is a yellow jacket wasp in proper colors with its wings expanded beyond the edges of the hexagon.

Symbolism
Gold and royal blue are the school's colors. The blue hexagon is thematic with the shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) and the yellow jacket wasp is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 30 January 1992.
