Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a gold disc edged with a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) blue border, the yellow head of a grizzly bear outlined and detailed blue; all within a circular yellow designation band and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border and inscribed "E.T. BEDDINGFIELD, JR." arcing at top and "HIGH SCHOOL" arcing at bottom in blue letters. The overall dimension is 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Blue and yellow are the school colors. The "bruin" is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 2 November 1995.

Description/Blazon
On a Gold metal shield 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height blazoned: Per bend sinister Or and Celeste a pole star countercharged between in dexter chief a bear's paw print of the second and in sinister base a mullet of the first. Attached to base a Light Blue scroll inscribed "HONOR AND RESPECT" in Gold letters.

Symbolism
The pole star represents the four directions and the decisions the graduating cadets will make as participating citizens of tomorrow wherever they may go. The star signifies unity and the bear paw is a symbol of the school mascot "THE BRUIN". Attached at the base of the shield is a scroll with the unit motto "HONOR AND RESPECT".

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 10 July 2000.
