Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
A shield-shaped insignia with arced scroll attached above the shield, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, the overall dimensions 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width; on the light blue shield, a white sword diagonally placed from the viewer's upper left to lower right, point to base, surmounted by a white Cavalier's hat garnished light blue. On the light blue scroll, the inscription "CAVALIERS" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia originally authorized 6 July 1976, was amended to add subdued colors and metric dimensions, 15 March 1991. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-193)




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel insignia 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a silver shield on which issues in the vertical center the upper portion of a dark blue silhouetted Torch of Knowledge, surmounted on the flame by a gavel supporting scales of justice all silver. Attached above the shield a silver arced scroll inscribed "CAVALIERS" in dark blue letters. Attached around the base of the shield a two segmented arced scroll inscribed "EAST BURKE" on the dexter segment and "HIGH SCHOOL" on the sinister segment in dark blue letters.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 6 July 1976.
