Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a shield per bend sinister dark blue and white edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border, a gray eagle descending. Attached above the shield, a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) gray border inscribed "EAST FORSYTH" in dark blue letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school's colors. The gray eagle reflects the school's motto "IRON EAGLES."

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a Gold demi-eagle, wings uplifted, surmounting a shield blazoned: Per pale Azure and Argent on a chief Or, the inscription "IRON" over "EAGLES" of the first.

Symbolism
Blue and white are the school's colors. The eagle reflects the unit's motto and spirit of the cadets.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 20 March 1992.
