Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a vertical rectangular embroidered device, arched convexly at top and bottom, the field divided diagonally from upper right to lower left light blue over black, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border, a yellow Jaguar detailed and fimbriated black with silver gray eye, ear, whiskers, teeth, and tongue. Attached above, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border inscribed "OVERHILLS" in light blue letters. Attached below, a light blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border inscribed "JAGUARS" in black letters. The overall dimensions 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Columbia blue (light blue), silver, and black are the school colors. The Jaguar is the school mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description
On a Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Celeste (Columbia blue) a double-warded key in bend, wards upward Argent (Silver Gray) charged with a lozenge Argent surmounted by another Sable between, in sinister chief a quill pen bendwise above a inkwell and in dexter base a torch, all of the second. Superimposed on dexter and sinister of the shield two Jaguars salient, facing outward.  Attached above the shield, a Black scroll inscribed OVERHILLS HIGH SCHOOL in Silver letters.  Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed FORTITUDINE ET RECTE in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Columbia blue (light blue), silver and black are the school colors. Blue  is symbolic of the courage of cadets as leaders in the school and the community, black signifies perseverance and determination, white and silver represents the will to succeed in all endeavors.  The Jaguar is the schools mascot which reflects the pride, honor and loyalty of the cadets military training. The torch is emblematic of leadership and the book with the quill pen is representative of academic endeavors. The star symbolizes the achievements of the cadets in academics, athletics, and military training.  The Latin motto FORTITUDINE ET RECTE translates to With Strength and Right in English.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 23 October 2013.
