Superimposed on dexter and sinister of the shield two Jaguars salient, facing outward. Attached above the shield, a Black scroll inscribed OVERHILLS HIGH SCHOOL in Silver letters. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed FORTITUDINE ET RECTE in Silver letters.
Columbia blue (light blue), silver and black are the school colors. Blue is symbolic of the courage of cadets as leaders in the school and the community, black signifies perseverance and determination, white and silver represents the will to succeed in all endeavors. The Jaguar is the schools mascot which reflects the pride, honor and loyalty of the cadets military training. The torch is emblematic of leadership and the book with the quill pen is representative of academic endeavors. The star symbolizes the achievements of the cadets in academics, athletics, and military training. The Latin motto FORTITUDINE ET RECTE translates to With Strength and Right in English.
