Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall blazoned: Per bend sinister Azure and Or, in chief a snarling cougar head couped to dexter over a United States flag in saltire with the North Carolina State flag Or. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "SOUTHWESTERN RANDOLPH" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Blue and gold are the school colors. The Cougar is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 10 October 2008.
