Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a buff horseshoe shape 3 5/16 inches (8.41 cm) in height edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) brown border, the stylized head of a cowboy. The cowboy's face is buff, hat, jacket and shaded areas appear brown with the inscription "WEST HIGH SCHOOL" in brown lettering arched above the cowboy's head.

Symbolism
Buff and brown are the school colors. The cowboy is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 19 November 2002.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel horseshoe shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco horse within a background of rays. Attached around the top and sides of the cowboy and horse, a brown horseshoe shaped scroll inscribed "WISDOM HONESTY SINCERITY" in gold letters.
