Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black vertical trapezoid shape convexly arced at top and bottom, the bust of a Trojan soldier in profile throughout, face and neck black; helm, plume, and armor orange: grasping an orange circular shield detailed black, the top of which is issuant from lower right. Attached above and below the device are orange tabs inscribed "DOUGLASS" at top and "HIGH SCHOOL" at bottom in black letters; all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) orange border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 7/8 inches (7.30 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Orange and black are the school's colors. The Trojan warrior is the school's mascot and reflects the military instruction of the cadets.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 7 February 1992. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-241)
