Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a smoke gray embroidered device consisting of a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom with rounded corners 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height overall edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a stylized Colonial in a black hat with a smoke gray face in profile facing right and fimbriated white. Attached above the rectangle, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "ALBERT GALLATIN" in white letters. Attached below the rectangle, a black scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "COLONIALS" in white letters.

Symbolism
Black, white and silver are the school's colors. The "Colonials" are the name of the school's athletic teams.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized on 7 June 2005.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height and 3/4 inch (1.91 cm) in width blazoned: Sable, two bars Argent. Attached above, a crest consisting of a Black crown over a White wheat sheath crossed by a torch with a White flame. Attached on both sides, two superimposed White triangular shapes. Attached below, a Black scroll inscribed "COLONIALS" in base metal letters with three White rectangles beneath.

Symbolism
Black, white and silver are the school's colors. The "Colonials" are the name of the school's athletic teams. The torch symbolizes learning. The wheat sheath represents securing one's hopes. The crown represents heavenly reward.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 7 June 2005.
