Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a gray vertical rectangle arched convexly at the top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, a patriot holding two banners aloft. The top banner is red and inscribed "RED LAND" in white letters. The lower banner is blue with three plates from the crest of the State of Pennsylvania. Attached below the rectangle, a gray scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border inscribed "PATRIOTS" in red letters. Overall dimensions are 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width and 3 1/2 (8.89 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Red and blue are the school colors. The patriot is the school mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess Gules and Azure, in chief a sunburst rayed of eleven, in base an indorse between an open book in perspective and an atomic symbol of four rings each orbiting two sub-atomic particles Argent. Ensigned above the shield, the head of a colonial patriot attired with a tricorn hat all Silver". Attached below the shield a Red scroll inscribed "TRUTH HONOR VALOR" in silver letters.

Symbolism
Red and blue are the school colors. The open book represents scholarly achievement and knowledge. The atom alludes to the nucleus for education. The sun is symbolic of devotion to honor.
