Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue and orange rectangular shaped embroidered device, arched convexly at top and bottom, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, the field cut in half from upper left to lower right diagonally, to the left the bust of Andrew Jackson white, and to the right a palmetto tree of the same charged with a crescent moon blue. Attached above, a white scroll inscribed "JACKSON" in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a white scroll inscribed "VOLUNTEERS" in blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The school colors are royal blue, orange and white. The Volunteer is the school mascot.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 12 January 2007.
