Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a shield blazoned: Sanguine, a Mohawk Indian head Or; attached below the shield a scroll inscribed "BOWMAN" in Maroon letters.

Symbolism
Maroon and gold are the colors of Bowman High School. The Mohawk Indian is the mascot of the school.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 19 October 1988.
