Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom, detailed with diagonal black tiger stripes a purple paw print centered and angled to the right, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. Attached above the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "SWANSEA" in purple letters. Attached below the rectangle, a yellow scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "TIGERS" in purple letters. Overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 7/16 inches (6.19 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Purple and gold are the school colors. The tiger/paw represents the school's mascot and is symbolic of the cadets' fighting spirit.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 4 October 2004.

Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a purple pentagon background surmounted by a tiger's head in gold, detailed black in sinister side, a gold tiger's paw in dexter. A double scroll, in base, purple with gold lettering inscribed "SWANSEA" on the top of the scroll and "HIGH SCHOOL" on the bottom scroll.

Symbolism
