Shoulder Loop Insignia
On a silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) at the widest points, a dark blue background superimposed with a diagonal wall of orange flames from upper left to lower right on a textured base. Attached above the center disc a dark blue scroll inscribed "BLACKMAN HIGH SCHOOL" in silver letters and at the center base an orange scroll inscribed "BLAZE" in silver letters.
Orange and black are the school's colors, "Blaze" was selected as the school motto indicating fire and thunder and the confidence of academic excellence for the future.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 27 February 2001.
