Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a gray cougar head, face affront, garnished blue and white issuant from sinister within the cusps and surmounting a white crescent. Attached above a gray arched scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed "CENTENNIAL" in blue letters. Attached below a gray arched scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in blue letters.

Symbolism
Blue and gray are the school colors and the cougar is the school mascot. The crescent alludes to the letter "C", the Roman numeral for 100, denoting a centennial and resembles the letter "C", the first letter of the school name.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized on 16 March 1998.

Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.68 cm) in width overall consisting of a blue background entoured by a silver scroll inscribed at top "COUGARS" in blue letters and bearing a silver cougar, at speed, to sinister.

Symbolism
Blue and gray are the school colors. The cougar is the school mascot. The cougar running, symbolizes the aggressive vigor the cadets have towards school, community and country.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 16 March 1998.
