Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On an ultramarine blue vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) scarlet border, two crossed sabers pointing downward to base. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width. Attached above the rectangle, an ultramarine blue scroll inscribed "COOKEVILLE" in white letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) scarlet border. Attached below the rectangle, an ultramarine blue scroll Inscribed "CAVALIERS" in white letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) scarlet border.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school's colors. The Cavalier is the school's mascot. The Cavalier represents strength, courage and chivalry.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 6 April 2004.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in diameter overall, consisting of an red disc on which is a Cavalier on horseback in base metal, all encircled by a blue designation band and inscribed "COOKEVILLE HIGH" at top and "CAVALIERS" at bottom in base metal letters. Two pairs of crossed swords are placed horizontally on the designation band also in gold base metal.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school's colors. The Cavalier is the school's mascot. The school's motto is "HAIL TO THE CAVALIERS".

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 6 April 2004.
