On an orange embroidered device consisting of a disc 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height overall, a black stylized Choctaw Indian head in profile within an orange inner disc outlined black, on an outer orange scroll the inscriptions "DYER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL" above and "CHOCTAWS" below in black letters. All edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Sable and Tenn overall an Indian head with headdress reversed feathered of the second faced of the first.  Attached below the shield, a Black arched scroll inscribed "DYER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
Orange and black are the school colors.  Black represents the determination of every cadet, while orange denotes their ambition.  The Choctaw Indian is the school's mascot, portraying pride and great strength.

Background
 The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 19 July 2013.
