Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a gold vertical quartered rectangular embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, with the top right quarter and bottom left quarter black and displaying a knight's helmet in gold and black details. Attached above the rectangle, a gold scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "KENWOOD" in black letters. Attached below the rectangle, a gold scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in black letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Black and gold are the school's colors. The knight symbolizes knowledge, perseverance, courage, and the cadets' dedication to their school, community, and the nation.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 30 October 2007.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly Sable, a cross Or; in the first quarter a scroll, a fleur-de-lis in the second, an atomic symbol in the third, and a winged foot in the fourth, all of the last. The shield is resting upon a Gold colored metal draped beneath a knight wearing armor and sitting on horseback grasping a lance. Below, a Black scroll inscribed "KNIGHTS" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
