Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered scarlet vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a white Native American in full war bonnet in profile, all detailed blue and scarlet. Attached above, a scarlet scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed "MONTGOMERY" in white letters. Attached below, a scarlet scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border inscribed "CENTRAL" in white letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red, white, and blue are the school colors. The Indian is the school mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 28 February 2008.

Description/Blazon
On a silver base metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height, consisting of a red arrowhead charged with a silver Native American Warrior on horseback, arched over the stem of the arrowhead, a blue scroll turned silver inscribed "MONTGOMERY CENTRAL" in silver letters.

Symbolism
Red, white and blue are the school colors. The arrowhead signifies the leadership abilities gained through the program. The Native American Warrior, the school's mascot, describes a determined attitude in the cadets' outlook towards performance and achievement.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved 8 March 2007.
