Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An oval shaped yellow embroidered device charged with an American Bald Eagle volant Proper, its head and talons extended to sinister base, above a mullet in chief Azure, and inscribed on a Blue scroll in Yellow letters "NORTHEAST" at the top and at bottom "HIGH SCHOOL," all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue, black, and gold are the school colors. The American Bald Eagle is the school's mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure charged with mullet and eagle volant within an annulet all Or. Attached below the shield, a Blue scroll inscribed "NORTHEAST H.S." in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Blue and gold are the school colors. The eagle is the school mascot and symbolizes strength and unity to perform at the highest achievement possible. The star over the hurt represents the school's home state of Tennessee.

The shoulder loop insignia was authorized 25 April 2008.
