Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On an Irish Green embroidered disc, edged with 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Goldenlight border, the head of a Viking affront Proper, between an encircling inscription "NORTHWEST" above and "VIKINGS" below in Goldenlight letters. The overall dimension is 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.
Green and gold are the school's colors. The Viking head represents the school's mascot. The Viking represents the strength and determination of the students.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 12 December 2007.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
On a Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Quarterly Or and Vert, in second quarter two battle-axes in saltire blades downward and in the third quarter a lamp of knowledge of the first. Attached to the sides and base of the shield, a bipartite Green scroll inscribed "NORTHWEST" and "VIKINGS" in base metal letters.
