Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a yellow embroidered rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, a red hawk's head erased and in profile with yellow chest feathers and beak; pupil, nostril, and detail of mouth black; eyed white, langued and detail feathers of chest red. Attached above the rectangle, a yellow scroll inscribed "ROSSVIEW" and attached below the rectangle, a yellow scroll inscribed "HAWKS" in red letters, both edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Red and gold are the school's colors. The hawk is the school mascot and the hawk's head represents the cadets' wisdom and winning spirit. The tips of the four yellow feathers represent the four LET levels.

A gold color metal and enamel oval 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in width consisting of a black oval bearing a red hawk's head erased and in profile with gold chest feathers, beak, and eye; pupil and nostril black; langued and detail feathers on chest red. All encircled by a red designation band and inscribed "ROSSVIEW HIGH SCHOOL" at top and "HAWKS" at bottom in base metal letters.
