Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A circular device 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter overall consisting of an inner purple disc on which is a yellow five pointed star surmounted by a white eagle in flight, all within a yellow band edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) purple border, the band inscribed "BALL" at top and "HIGH SCHOOL" in base in purple letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 14 October 1971.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel oval-shaped insignia 1 3/32 inches (2.78 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue enamel background on which is a dome above the letters "BHS" all of gold color metal.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 29 October 1975.
