Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered circular device consisting of a gray area arched at the top and enclosed in a 1/16 inch (.16 cm) black edge displaying the head, shoulder, right front leg and paw of a Cougar in white, with black and gray details, red tongue and gums. Enclosing that, a red circular designation band inscribed "CROSBY HIGH SCHOOL" surrounding the Cougar's head in white block letters. The entire device is edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border. Overall dimensions are 3 inches (8.89 cm) in diameter.

Symbolism
Red and white are the school's colors. The Cougar is the school's mascot and represents the cadets' great courage, strength, bravery, and high spirit. The school's motto is "Second to None."

Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules, on a chevron Argent in chief a key ward to sinister of the like and in base a lamp flamant of the last. Attached above the shield, a Cougar crouching forepaw extended head to sinister tail erect Silver Gray detailed Sable. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed "SECOND TO NONE" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Red and white are the school's colors. The Cougar is the school's mascot and symbolizes courage, vigilance, strength, and honor. The lamp represents scholarly achievement and knowledge. The key alludes to the guardianship of wisdom and education.
