On a Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quartered Argent and Argent (Silver Gray) a helm dexter, garnished Azure (Dark Blue). Attached above the shield, a Dark Blue scroll doubled White ends folded up on the shield inscribed DEL VALLE in Silver Gray letters. Attached below the shield, a Dark Blue scroll doubled White inscribed CONQUISTADOR BN in Silver Gray letters.
Navy blue, white and silver are the school colors. The Conquistador is the schools mascot representing the Spanish Conquest of the southwest specifically by Conquistador Don Juan de Onate. Blue signifies truth, loyalty, and devotion, while white symbolizes clarity and humility. Silver represents the maturity of the cadets and the accomplishment of graduating with honor and integrity.
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 16 January 2014.
