Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a silver gray colored vertical rectangle embroidered device arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border, a white map of Texas in the background, with a blue star in base and in the foreground a silhouette of a cowboy astride a bucking bronco blue, fimbriated red. Attached above the rectangle, a silver gray scroll inscribed "PORTER" in blue letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. Attached below the rectangle, a silver gray scroll inscribed "COWBOYS" in blue letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The cowboy astride a bucking bronco is the school's mascot.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: A silhouette of a cowboy astride a bucking bronco Azure, between in chief two mullets Blue, and in base three mullets horizontal Blue. On a canton Gules, a map of Texas Argent. Below and at the sides of the shield, a Silver and Blue motto scroll inscribed "COWBOY BATTALION" in base metal letters.
