Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
On a khaki color disc within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, the overall dimensions 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter, a five pointed purple star edged with a white border 3/32 inch (.24 cm) in width. On the star the silhouette of the Alamo in white, with purple details.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved 23 September 1974.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height consisting of a purple five-pointed star on which is a silver representation of the Alamo detailed purple.
The shoulder loop insignia approved 9 August 1940 was redesignated for Phillis Wheatley High School on 29 January 1976. It was redesignated back to George W. Brackenridge High School on 26 January 1988.
