Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
An embroidered black vertical rectangle device arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver border, a scorpion reversed silver. Attached above the rectangle, a black scroll inscribed "HORIZON" in silver letters and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver border. Attached below the rectangle, a black scroll inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in silver letters and edged with a 1'8 inch (.32 cm) silver border. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Black and silver are the school's colors. The school's mascot is Scorpion. The school's motto is "Linking Learning to Life".
The shoulder sleeve insignia was authorized 8 March 2005.
Shoulder Loop Insignia
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in diameter overall consisting of a black disc displaying at center a stylized scorpion in silver metal, all encircled by a black designation band inscribed "HORIZON HIGH SCHOOL" at top and "SCORPIONS" at bottom in base metal letters.
