Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a black rectangular shield shaped embroidered device 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border, a red Mustang head cut at the shoulder detailed black, encircled by two yellow olive branches crossed in base at the stems. Attached above, a red scroll inscribed "WESTFIELD" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a red scroll inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.

Symbolism
Black, red and white are the school's colors. The Mustang is the school's mascot.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 13 February 2006.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and black, red, white and silver gray enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, divided by a silver gray sword point down between two horses addorsed in gallop, on the left red and on the right white, both cut at mid-torso. Attached above the device, a red scroll inscribed "WESTFIELD" and attached below the device, a red scroll inscribed "HIGH SCHOOL" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Black, red and white are the school's colors. The horses represent the school's mascot, the Mustang. The sword signifies strength and honor.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 13 February 2006.
