Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue rectangular embroidered device arched top and bottom, the head of a Peregrine Falcon facing to the right in garnet, detailed bluebird and white. Attached above the rectangle a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) garnet border inscribed "NORTH COUNTRY" in white letters. Attached below the rectangle a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) garnet border inscribed "FALCONS" in white letters. Overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width all within a 1/8 inch garnet border.

Symbolism
Blue and maroon are the school's colors. The Peregrine Falcon is the school's mascot and is representational of the cadets' dedication to support their school, community and country.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 5 January 2006.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure per a diminished chevron Or, the chief Gules per pallet of the second, in dexter a cog wheel, in sinister an opened book, bookmarked, and in base a mullet in dexter and a pine tree centered of the like. All above a Garnet scroll inscribed "NORTH COUNTRY UNION" in base metal letters.

Symbolism
Maroon and blue are the school's colors. The shield and scroll allude to the school's coat of arms.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 5 January 2006.
