The overall dimensions being 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width, blazoned: Azure, on a fess enarched Or, a panther salient Sable detailed of the second. Attached above the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "CHARLES CITY COUNTY" in Yellow letters edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border. Attached below the shield a Blue scroll inscribed "PANTHERS" in Yellow letters edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border.
Blue and yellow are the school colors. The panther is the school mascot and is a symbol of power, strength, and determination.
