Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
An embroidered device consisting of a shield blazoned: Tripartite in pale Azure, Sanguine, and Vert overall a torch Argent flamant of the like wreathed with laurel leaves Smoke Gray. Attached above the shield a Smoke Gray scroll inscribed "COURTLAND" in Yellow letters. The entire device is edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) Yellow border. The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The colors represent three different high schools. Courtland High School's colors are royal blue and gray; Chancellor High School's colors are maroon and gray; and Riverbend High School's colors are royal blue and green. The torch represents scholarly achievement and knowledge. The laurel leaves symbolize peace and triumph.

Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in width overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Azure and Argent a torch flamant wreathed with laurel leaves all Or; on a chief of the last, sixteen lozenges eight and eight Sable. Above the shield, a Black oval scroll inscribed "COURTLAND" in base metal letters. The area between the shield and scroll is divided half Blue and Gray. On the right side of the shield is a Black oval scroll inscribed "RIVERBEND" in base metal letters. The area between the shield and scroll is divided Blue and Green. On the left side of the shield is a Black oval scroll inscribed "CHANCELLOR" in base metal letters. The area between the shield and scroll is divided Maroon and Gray.
