A shield-shaped device with an arced scroll attached above the shield, the overall dimensions 3 1/4 inches (8.26 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width, consisting of a red background edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) white border. On the shield, the face and upper torso of a patriot, face white, detailed gray, hat and coat blue detailed white, wearing a white scarf and white crossed bands on the blue coat. On the red scroll the inscription "DENBIGH" in white letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.
The shoulder sleeve insignia originally authorized 11 May 1976, was amended 8 March 1989, to add subdued colors and metric dimensions. (TIOH Drawing Number A-10J-187)
