Description/Blazon
On a silver gray triangle with rounded angles one point to base edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) blue border a blue wolverine head erased highlighted gray. Attached above a gray scroll edged with a narrow blue border and inscribed in blue letters "WEST POTOMAC". The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 3 inches (7.62 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and silver are the school colors. The wolverine is the school mascot which reflects the perseverance, stamina and strong will of the cadets.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 24 January 1997.
