Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a blue trapezoid a silver gray demi-horse rearing, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border. Attached above the trapezoid a blue scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) silver gray border and inscribed "PRESIDENTS" in silver gray letters. The overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in width.

Symbolism
Blue and silver are the school colors and the mustang is the school mascot. The school nickname is "HOME OF THE PRESIDENTS."

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia approved 22 February 1995 was amended to revise the dimensions on 15 May 2002.

Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure party per tierced in pairle reversed, in base two cubit arms grasping hands fesswise, in sinister chief an anchor and in dexter chief two books closed supporting a lamp Argent; all surmounting a Silver winged torch. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll inscribed "WOODROW WILSON" in Blue letters.

Symbolism
Blue and silver are the school colors. The books and lamp suggest academic achievements. The anchor reflects the geographical location of the school and implies the cadets' involvement in their community. The grasping hands stand for teamwork. The winged torch symbolizes the success of the cadets after graduation.

The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 22 February 1995.
