Shoulder Sleeve Insignia


Description/Blazon
On a vertical rectangle arched convexly at top and bottom and edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) dark blue border divided horizontally dancetty light blue over green a dark blue split rail fence of three rails horizontally in perspective. Attached above the device a dark blue scroll edged with a narrow dark blue border and inscribed "WYTHE CO" in green letters. Overall dimensions are 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height by 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width.

Symbolism
The three rail fence, indicative of the type that graces the fields and pastures of the county, signify the three schools that comprise the battalion. The fence is strong because all rails are significant to the whole. The unity of the fence reflects the cadets' commitment to school and community.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 16 August 1996.




Shoulder Loop Insignia


Description/Blazon
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a silver mountainous background below a blue sky area overall in base a green land mass supporting a silver masoned shot tower between two green trees all within a silver scroll arcing above and inscribed "SECUNDIS DUBIISQUE RECTUS" in blue letters.

Symbolism
The shot tower is a local historical landmark and represents the cadets' reflection of their past and commitment to their community. The pastoral scene of mountains, sky and trees reflect the rural community of the three schools.

Background
The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 16 August 1996.
