On a Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Sable, a tower on its axis Silver Gray of five embattlements with two billets of the first, between two swords, points to chief of the last, fimbriated of the second. Below a Black scroll inscribed PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL in Silver letters, all 5/16 inch (0.79 cm) in height.
Black and silver are the school colors. Black signifies dignity, determination, and the Cheat River canyon. Silver represents faith, truth, and the glimmering Cheat River. The tower of five embattlements symbolizes the five existing county high schools merging into one. The Knight is the schools mascot signified by the two swords pointing up one representing valor and the other courage.
The shoulder loop insignia was authorized on 27 November 2013.
